Hondo Chamber of Commerce
Events
November 19, 2011
10am-4pm. Along 18th Street. Hondo kicks off the Holiday season with a bang every year. The annual Hondo Area Chamber of Commerce-sponsored Christmas in God's Country draws hundreds of people downtown. There is always plenty of fun, food and entertainment for everyone at the day-long event. Numerous civic groups and organizations pitch in to help entertain the crowds and more than 125 vendors provide wonderful hand-made arts & crafts, gifts and a yummy variety of food! Christmas decorations, jewelry, wood crafts, and paintings are just a few of the items featured. As the day-time events wind down, folks enjoy the Christmas lights that brighten the entire town and then line the streets - eagerly waiting for the beautiful lighted night parade to begin. Christmas in God's Country, traditionally the Saturday before Thanksgiving, has something for every member of the family! 830-426-3037. hondochamber.com
