Ruby’s Emporium Offers Unique Finds at Great Prices
Located in the rapidly growing town of Dripping Springs, shopping at Ruby’s Emporium fits any budget. Sandy Pedrazas, owner, and her husband Andy relocated to Dripping Springs in 2008 from Houston, leaving behind corporate jobs for the Hill Country. Named after her shelter-rescued dog, Ruby, Ruby’s Emporium is stocked with items hand-picked by Sandy herself. Sandy enjoys scouring estate sales looking for antique treasures to fill her eclectic shop. She offers items sure to satisfy collectors no matter what the taste, including embroidered linens, baby dolls dating back to the Depression, table clocks, beautiful antique jewelry, prints and postcards and furniture. Sandy’s husband, Andy, renovates, and in some cases, creates new items from furniture that Sandy finds. They have an adorable 1950’s era kitchen step stool that Andy rescued and restored and also an Amish blanket chest, brought home in pieces, reconstructed into a beautiful and functional antique chest. Sandy is always bringing home salvaged wood from furniture of long ago, which is eagerly reconstructed into shelves, boxes, coat hacks, wall hangings or who knows... it’s always an adventure. A family affair, Sandy carries soy candles that her son, Lee, makes. Ruby’s Emporium is filled with treasures, some old, some new-but there is sure to be something for everyone, from the die-hard collector to the casual shopper who enjoys discovering unusual knick-knacks. |
