Clay and Nora Meadows purchased the restaurant in July of 2008, bringing over twenty years of experience with them.

They have created a cozy family-friendly place that offers patrons a country diner feel. The Meadows strive for consistent quality; ensuring that eating there is an experience you will want to repeat again and again.

Clay personally hand-cuts and grills each steak to order using only Choice Angus beef. On the menu are 8 oz. Top Sirloin Steaks and 14 oz. Rib eyes, but Clay is generous when he cuts, so the steaks usually end up a good 2 oz. bigger! Add their own steak seasoning and your mouth will be watering!

Just because their steaks are the best in town and their catfish is awesome doesn’t mean that those are your only choices. They have five different grilled fish on the menu and usually feature a sixth. Choices range from mahi mahi, tilapia, salmon, catfish and trout with halibut as a feature.

One of their signature dishes is oysters, fresh from the Texas Gulf Coast, fried with seasoned corn meal batter, making them the best in five counties.

Stop by Tuesday-Saturday, 11 am-8 pm. They offer a lunch special for just $7.95, or order off their menu -- they will make it fresh and to order. Bring your friends and family; they have a private room that seats up to 50. Tour groups are welcome, but call ahead and let ‘em know you are coming.
