“Wind, Water and Light”
Wesley Gallery Show Explores Local Solutions to World Energy Problems
July 10 – Dripping Springs – Wesley Gallery show, “Wind, Water and Light”, explores local solutions to our world energy challenges, Saturday 10 am—5 pm at the Gallery: 27008 Ranch Rd. 12 South. Sit under a solar umbrella while you admire magnificent sculpture and brightly painted rain barrels. Learn about nearby wind and geothermal projects, browse through drought resistant plant specimens, and then talk with a green builder about putting it all together. Inside the Gallery, over a hundred compact fluorescent bulbs powered by a solar roof array will light additional artworks and business displays from Lighthouse Solar, Xanadu Nursery, The Maroney Company, Hill Country Ecopower and Sherwin Williams Paints. The Rainwater Revival Group will also be present to promote and share their special understanding of one of the oldest forms of water conservation, rainwater catch. Texas Representative Patrick Rose and Hays County Commissioner Karen Ford will discuss policy issues. Future availability of energy resources is a major challenge for humankind. We are at the center of the changes that must be made, but when, how, and at what cost? These displays and conversations are designed to answer questions about currently available solutions, to educate, inspire and incite action.
