From Red-Hot Steel to Polished Gold, you will find a full range imagination and craftsmanship in metal at the 7th Annual Texas Metal Arts - A Festival at Gruene. Artistic metal works, including funky & fine jewelry, decorative art, sculpture, fun garden decorations, and functional objects will be presented at this Art show and sale.
Forty Texas Artists, including goldsmiths, tinsmiths, silversmiths, blacksmiths and sculptors will show their creative work ranging from fine art to folk art for your shopping pleasure. Ongoing demonstrations will reveal intricate skills, techniques, and tricks in metalworking using age old techniques & space age ideas to transform raw metal into Fine Art, Jewelry, Folk Art & Sculptures. Metal of all kinds will be cut, hammered, riveted, soldered, welded, painted, polished and embellished with precious stones and other objects. From sophisticated to practical to radical, it will be a “Red Hot ‘n’ Hammered” weekend.
The Metals Festival will be held in the heart of Gruene, the beautiful, historic district of New Braunfels on the banks of the Guadalupe River. Be sure to visit the unique stores, dine at a variety of local restaurants, and kick up your heels at Gruene Hall, Texas’ oldest dance hall.
Gruene is located in New Braunfels just off IH 35. Take IH 35 to Exit 191 (Canyon Lake, FM 306), go west 1.5 miles, turn left at the traffic light at Hunter Road and go one half mile to Gruene.
