The lights will soon be shining bright and the music filling the air as the Llano Christmas Lighting Committee is underway with what promises to be the biggest and best lighted Christmas Park yet. Just below the bridge, on the banks of the Llano River, at Badu park will be the location for the 10th annual Starry Starry Nights. The Llano Christmas Lighting Committee has proudly scheduled the opening night for Friday, November 26th at 6pm. The park will run through December 31, 2010.
The committee is proud to say we have added new displays to the park again this year. One of the new additions is the animated Snowflake Express. The Christmas Park will be open daily from 6-9pm. Each Friday and Saturday will be especially fun as we have Santa available to spend time with all the little boys and girls and go over their special Christmas wish list from 6pm-8pm. Digital pictures with Santa will be available to capture your Christmas memories.
Every weekend will be full of live music performed by various local artists such Mercy & Grace, Hannah Gray, Church Praise Bands and Awana members, so come and listen to them perform.
Join us at the park, sip some hot chocolate and roast marshmallows by the open fire while soaking in the lights and sounds of the holiday season. We will have a special area to decorate your holiday ornaments in your own creative way.
The special events held in Llano throughout the season will be:
