“Let’s Rodeo San Antonio!”
PRCA’s Largest Indoor Rodeo Returns with Entertainment, Shopping, and More

Once the holiday season is over and the new year has commenced, what affordable family entertainment is available? Look no further than the San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo. February 3rd-20th, this event offers a family-friendly carnival, family fair, interactive and educational exhibits, over 650 vendors for shopping, horse and livestock shows, auctions, high-impact PRCA Rodeo action, and live concert entertainment.

Since 1949, the San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo, formally known as the San Antonio Livestock Exposition, Inc. (SALE), has kept western culture in San Antonio by hosting one of the world’s largest junior livestock shows, and 18 days of PRCA Rodeo performances featuring the top contestants and the best bucking stock in North America.

Each year the San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo also brings over two weeks of highly acclaimed entertainers to the main stage of the AT&T center for post-Rodeo performances. The Rodeo offers artists and comedy acts from every genre. The 2011 Lineup includes such entertainers as Lady Antebellum, Train, Ramon Ayala, Toby Keith, Martina McBride, Miranda Lambert, Blake Shelton, Bill Engvall, Clay Walker, Randy Rogers Band, Reba McEntire, Styx, MercyMe, and Eli Young Band.

Along with preserving western heritage, the San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo is one of the largest educational assistance providers in the State, with $105 million committed since inception. This year alone, this generous non-profit organization has provided over $8.5 million in the form of scholarships, grants, endowments, auction proceeds, a calf scramble program and show premiums paid to youth. Current awards and scholarships for this year will add more than 450 new scholars to the program. With over 1,300 active scholarship recipients, SALE represents students in 90 colleges and universities throughout the state of Texas.

The San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo is honored to announce that the sixth banner for Professional Rodeo Cowboy Association’s (PRCA) Large Indoor Rodeo of the Year will proudly be displayed in the AT&T Center for the 2011 Stock Show & Rodeo. The San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo has been named the recipient of this prestigious industry award, consecutively, since 2005.

Each year, the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association honors the best of the best in rodeo professionals, stock contractors and rodeo committees during their annual Contract Personnel Awards Banquet at the South Point Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas. The banquet is held prior to the kick off of the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo, the “Superbowl” of all rodeos. Because nominees and winners are voted on by their peers in the industry, this honor is considered one of the greatest by industry professionals and those associated with rodeo worldwide.

The honor was received by 2010 Chairman of the Board, Tres Kleberg, who gave praise to God and the 5000+ S.A.L.E Volunteers for claiming this great title again for 2010.

So whether you plan to come and sample all that is “fair food,” or you can’t wait for the kids to see the pig races, or you simply want to shop the day away and then enjoy a top notch professional Rodeo and concert, the San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo is the only place that can bring you all these things, all in one place! Rodeo tickets are now on sale for 2011. Visit www.sarodeo.com for complete information.
