One event that’s gained a national reputation as one of the state’s premier art shows is the 8th Annual Texas Masters of Fine Art and Craft Invitational Exhibition, which will be held Friday, May 27, through Sunday, May 29. The grandfather of Texas art shows, the 40th Annual Official Texas State Arts & Crafts Fair, displaying the artistic talents of almost 200 Texas artisans, will run from Saturday, May 28 through Monday, May 30th. One of the great Texas traditions returning for its 40th edition is the Kerrville Folk Festival. The Kerr Arts & Cultural Center will host a number of art shows and exhibits including the Sixth Annual Southwest Gourd Fine Art Show, May 26 – June 26, 2011.
