The fifth-annual Gourmet Chili Pepper & Salsa Festival hosted by Wildseed Farms is scheduled for September 16th and 17th, 2011. Formerly held in the month of July, the Fest was changed to September to facilitate a little bit cooler Texas temperatures! The same great “hot” features will highlight the two-day event: hot peppers, hot salsa vendors, a hot air balloon glow, gourmet chef demonstrations of hot and spicy recipes, and hot live bands performing on stage each evening.
Friday night will feature The Scott Taylor Band, with a smooth Texas country and western sound and plenty of danceable music. A few yards away as evening falls in the Balloon Garden, a number of the Central Texas Ballooning Association members will be inflating their hot air balloons and “glowing” for Fest guests – a fabulous spectacle in the night sky. Guests can join the crews on the field for fantastic photo opportunities and the chance to ask questions of the pilots.
Saturday evening, back by popular demand, “Rotel and the Hot Tomatoes” will entertain onstage with their captivating hits from the 60’s and 70’s. Be prepared to dance the night away! This band can rock!
One or two-day passes are available for the event, which will also feature multiple vendor booths with every kind of spicy food imaginable, chefs sharing hot pepper delicacies they prepare onstage and recipes for the guests, and all the shopping and wine tasting and fun that Wildseed Farms has to offer every day of the week. Admission is charged for the festival itself. Call 1-800-848-0078 or visit www.wildseedfarms.com for more information!
