Hunters’ Night Out rolls on to Year Eight

On October 22, 2011, the Knights of Columbus of Wimberley, Texas will be hosting their popular Sporting Goods Show at the VFW Hall, where they raffle off 30 Rifles and Shotguns. The ticket for your entry is $30.00 or 4 for $100.00, when purchased in advance. Tickets are $35.00 for 4 for $125.00 at the Door. Tickets can also be purchased on-line at www.wimberleykchunter.org. Your ticket gets you in the door for a delicious three-course barbecue dinner, complete with adult beverages. Also, your ticket is in the drawing for all 30 of the Long Guns, unless, of course, you win one!

In addition, you will find 14 to 16 Live Auction items that may include additional firearms. Then there will be 24 or more Bucket Raffle items for which you can purchase tickets. These prizes cover a range from a Kayak, to Fly Fishing equipment, to Hunts and Fishing Trips.

Hunters Night Out has grown over the last seven years to become the largest Sporting Goods Show in Central Texas. It is sponsored by the Central Texas Columbus Club. CTCC has been designated by the IRS as a 501 (C) (3) Tax Exempt Organization. On Monday night, September 12, CTCC started their charity work when they voted to donate $10,000.00 to Knights of Columbus Council 14943 in Bastrop, Texas, where a goodly number of their members and friends lost their homes and all of their belongings in the horrific fire in that area. The President of CTCC, Mark Jones said, “This is really a Brother helping another Brother. This is why we do what we do.”
