Holiday Home Tour, Tannenbaum Ball Celebrate Preservation Week
Society to Raise Funds with Decorated Homes on Tour, “German Christmas”

Visitors from across the state will travel to the Hill Country to celebrate a popular Fredericksburg holiday tradition as Preservation Week returns to the Gillespie County Historical Society this December 3-10, with an all-new Holiday Home Tour and Tannenbaum Ball.

This year the Holiday Home Tour kicks off the historic week on Saturday, December 3, 2011, from noon until 6 p.m. Patrons will be able to view seven homes, all decorated for the Christmas season. Tickets for the Home Tour are $25 per person and include tour booklet and access to each property.

On the following Saturday, December 10, guests can enjoy the Tannenbaum Ball with the theme of a “German Christmas.” This exclusive event offers an elegant evening of cocktails, seated dining, dancing to The Flying GTs, and a silent and live auction.

A prize drawing features a natural blue sapphire with “custom design” mounting - a $2400 value - through exclusive arrangement with Segner Jewelers in Fredericksburg. Prize tickets are $5 each or 5 for $20.

Ball tickets are $100 per person, reserved seating only.

The Home Tour and Ball are the largest fundraisers for the Gillespie County Historical Society. Details and tickets may be purchased by contacting the Gillespie County Historical Society, 312 West San Antonio Street, Fredericksburg, Texas 78624, 830-997-2835. Event tickets are also available online at www.pioneermuseum.net.
