Wimberley Arts Fest Showcases Variety on The Square, Apr. 28

The fourth annual Wimberley Arts Fest will take place April 28 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on The Square.

The event, hosted by the Wimberley Valley Art League, showcases all the arts— visual, music, theater, and dance.

Headlining the music on the main stage will be Sara Hickman, 2010-2011 State Musician of Texas. Other performances there will feature the Starlight Symphony, Sugar Bayou, and St. Edward’s Ballet Folklorico. The Blueswingers, Gerry Burns, and others will perform music around The Square.

The Square will be closed to traffic and shuttles will run continuously from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. between the Wimberley Community Center parking lot and the old Baptist Church on Old Kyle Road.

Fifty-five artists were selected for the juried fine art show and will display and sell their work.

Other activities will include the Children’s Art Corner at the Natural Trail Area and the Vintage Car show, both located on Old Kyle Road.

Food will be available from vendors and the restaurants on the Square.

For more information, visit the web site at www.wimberleyartsfest.com or call 512-847-5272.
