Blanco Pioneer Museum Unveils Western Heritage Exhibit

We would be honored to have you visit our museum for the opening of our next exhibit September 8 and 9, 2012. The next exhibit is western heritage!

The opening ceremony is at 10am on Saturday. The Museum will open after the ceremony for viewing of the new exhibit. Museum fees: Adults $2, children 4-15 $1, under 4 free.

Music: Saturday, 1pm-2pm, Dry River Band. Sunday, 10am-11am, Deb Yorgensen, Dorothy Trimble & Skip Brasher singing Old Country Western Songs. Sunday, 3pm-4pm, Patty & Lawrence Coffee singing Gospel Songs.

Lawrence Coffee will give lessons on how to bridle and saddle a horse and answer questions on how and why. Coffee will also bring his metal horse with roping calf for the children to try. Tom Burks, one of the founders of Texas Ranger Museum, will be telling cowboy and Ranger stories. Mike Bainton, on Saturday and Sunday 2pm-3pm, will preview his knife throwing skills.

Food (for a fee): BBQ served on tortilla by Lyle Yorgensen, desserts by Deb Hunnicutt, and drinks by American Legion. Ken Fortune will be set up in area serving free cowboy coffee and beans. He will be telling stories like how he makes the coffee and many more.
