Austin Boat & Travel Trailer Show to Draw Water Sport and Outdoor Enthusiasts

2013 Austin Boat & Travel Trailer Show to Draw Thousands of Water Sport and Outdoor Enthusiasts to Town on January 17-20

If spending more time enjoying the great outdoors across Texas and beyond with friends and family is part of your New Year’s resolution, then the Austin Boat & Travel Trailer Show is the place to be on January 17-20, 2013, at the Convention Center in downtown Austin.

The Boat & Travel Trailer Show, held annually, is timed for the start of the vacation planning season as families begin making their recreational and travel schedule for the coming year. This year’s event is expected to draw upwards of 10,000 to the Convention Center, where top boat and travel trailer dealers from across the region will have models of all types and sizes on display.

For boating enthusiasts, the event will showcase wakeboard boats, cruisers, pontoons, and fishing boats, among other watercraft. For those planning to hit the road for excursions near and far, vehicles such as fifth wheels, truck campers, and toy haulers will be on display for an up close look.

Other highlights of the four-day event include: new seminars regarding boat handling under power and using marine GPS, kids’ catfish tank, ARMY Bass Anglers, and Bubble Runners.

The event is timed to accommodate families with busy work and extracurricular schedules, offering weekday and weekend options. They include: Thursday, January 17, noon - 9 p.m.; Friday, January 18, noon - 9 p.m.; Saturday, January 19, 10 a.m. - 9 p.m.; and Sunday, January 20, 10 a.m. - 6 p.m.

Admission to the event is $8 for adults; $4 for seniors over 60; $4 for children ages 7-12; and free for children 6 and under.

The Austin Convention Center is located at 500 E. Cesar Chavez St. Parking is available in the facility’s two garages, one on East 2nd Street and another on East 5th Street. Parking and map information can be found at austinconventioncenter.com/directions/directions.htm.
