Strawberry Time in Poteet, Texas
Annual Festival Set For April 9-11
One of the oldest, most popular events in the state, the Annual Poteet Strawberry Festival is recognized as one of the most exciting festivals in the Greater Southwest. The 95-acre site, located on Hwy 16 only 25 miles south of San Antonio, offers free parking, clean restrooms, handicapped accessibility, complete RV facilities and tent covered activities during the fun-filled Festival Weekend. The Poteet Strawberry Festival includes 14 areas of continuous family entertainment featuring concerts with nationally known Country/Western and Tejano stars, specialty and children’s acts, thrill shows, ethnic dancers, contests, rodeo performances, a world class carnival and much more! Area non-profit organizations operate food booths and serve a wide variety of foods including fresh strawberry delicacies. Arts and crafts exhibits and nightly dances round out the weekend. These activities are included in the price of admission. Admission is free on Friday, April 9. On Saturday and Sunday, April 10 and 11, adults tickets are $10. Children 12 & under are admitted free of charge as well as active, retired and reserve military (service members only). |
