Local Peach Crop Still in Full Swing!
Consumers who love peaches rejoice this year as many of the Hill Country Fruit Council stands opening in the Hill Country, primarily in Fredericksburg and Stonewall are already open for this year’s peach season. The Fredericksburg Jaycees are excited to announce the return of their annual Fredericksburg Crawfish Festival to Fredericksburg Marktplatz on Memorial Day weekend, May 23-25. The Fredericksburg Art Guild is making preparations for it’s 11th Annual Juried Show to open in the Guild Gallery on May 2nd, with a reception for the artists and presentation of awards. The theme for this year’s show is “Life’s Journey”, which is open to interpretation by artists in all mediums. Rob Bartell has been putting on Artifacts Shows since 1998 and has 20 years of experience in the business. From buying and selling, to appraisals and site evaluation, Rob knows artifacts. Eisbahn Brings Ice Skating to Fredericksburg
Outdoor ice-skating is now in full holiday swing at the Marktplatz in downtown Fredericksburg. The ice-skating rink, Eisbahn runs through January 4, 2014. The rink is open daily, with extended hours on weekends and school holidays. A come-and-go all-day pass is only $10, including skates.
