Presented by Biker Rallies of Texas. A three day event held at Bandera's Mansfield Park consisting of tent camping, poker run, daily door prize giveaways, lots of vendors, food, field events, Friday and Saturday night live bands, D.J. music all day Friday and Saturday, bike show, tattoo contest, Sunday morning church service. 9am-11am. Blanco State Park, Park Road 23. Help keep the park beautiful. Volunteer to work with park staff to pick up trash, pull weeds, remove invasive species, plant wildflowers and much more! 9am. Guadalupe River State Park, 3350 Park Road 31. The Saturday morning walking tour of Honey Creek. Call in advance to confirm that the tour will be given on the particular Saturday you wish to visit. Honey Creek State Natural Area is 2293.7 acres located in western Comal County, approximately 30 miles north of downtown San Antonio. Friday evenings, Saturday afternoons. The time is 1906. Visitors will be booked into the Brown County Jail. They will be given a brochure that identifies historical characters they will meet when they go upstairs to the cell floor. 10am-11:30pm. Buda City Park. KIS announces their first annual BUDA JAM Guitar Hero Tournament and Battle of the Bands. This event benefits the scholarship fund for students of all ages who struggle to learn. These students include those who are learning differenced, learning disabled, and economically disadvantaged. 1pm-4pm. Inks Lake State Park, 3630 Park Road 4 West. With over seven miles of maintained trails, the park has areas in the backcountry few people ever get to experience. This hike explores much of this area offering overviews of the Llano uplift, Inks Lake and a variety of plant and animal life. Hikes are five-to-six-miles long, are strenuous, and previous hiking experience is recommended. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Wear good walking shoes, bring water and a hat. 10am-4pm. Comfort Park Pavilion and grounds, 4th St. and Main St. The event combines fun family activities with gospel music and spring shopping. Spring Market Day is ideal for spring shopping and includes a selection of arts and crafts, clothing and accessories, home décor items, garden items, jewelry and much more. Family activities include face painting, two inflated bounce houses, and an antique tractor display. The ongoing Gospel Fest will feature singers and bands from the surrounding area, including Fiddle Chick & A Picker and Dale Friedrich & Jesus Train. Visitors are invited to bring their lawn chairs or blankets to enjoy the music sitting on the lawn around the gazebo in Comfort Park. Barbecue and beverages will be available for purchase. Spring Trade Day also includes book signings by several area authors, including: Mae Durden Nelson, author of I Just Called Her Momma, the story of her family life. Blanco County Fairgrounds in Johnson City. This Texas tradition is fun for the whole family. 2010 is the seventh consecutive year that this event has come to the banks of the Pedernales River. Cooking begins Friday evening. On Saturday vendors will offer treats and treasures from throughout the Hill Country, while the cooking continues. Live music on Saturday, 42 domino tournaments. Railroad Partners, Inc. is pleased to sponsor a motorcar excursion over the ex SP Llano branch. This is a scenic stretch of track that parallels the Llano River and crosses the Colorado River on Lake LBJ.
