Vegetable Gardening & Seed Planting
6pm-8pm. Cibolo Nature Center, 140 City Park Rd. Presenter: Keith Amelung. More and more people are interested in growing their own vegetables, and for many good reasons. We will look at every aspect of vegetable gardening, from the basics of site selection to soil preparation to selecting the best varieties of vegetables and seed sources for your garden. Cultivation from seed to vegetable will be explored, including natural pest prevention and controls. There will be hands-on demonstrations working with different soil mixes and vegetables. Attendees will have homework, in the form of planted seeds to be nurtured for later transplanting in your future garden!
