Jim Bowie Day

9am-5pm. Jim Bowie reportedly discovered a silver mine near Menard. This is the cause of numerous unsuccessful endeavors to rediscover the mine and is the basis for our annual Jim Bowie Day Celebration. Try your hand at finding the famous silver, pitch some washers or just sit back and enjoy the music under the pecan trees at our park next to the San Saba River.
