Czhilispiel

38th annual. Pronounced “Chili-Spill,” Czhilispiel is Flatonia’s premier tourism festival and second largest "czhili" cook-off in Texas, and always held the 4th weekend of October. Participants are judged in a variety of food categories: czhili, BBQ, and beans. In 2009, it's estimated that around 10,000 visitors attended the festival. 3 days of live music. Food and drinks, pie auction, tented biergarten, jalapeno eating contest. Fun and games, carnival and parade, pageant, 5K run/walk, horseshoe tournament.

Fees/Admission Free Friday and Sunday; $7 Saturday before 4pm, $12 after 4. (Children under 12 are free).
