4pm-7pm. Gruene Hall, 1281 Gruene Rd. A Gruene Hall tradition. Enjoy happy hour, prize giveaways, and the best in Texas tunes, broadcasted live by KNBT 92.1 FM Radio New Braunfels with Mattson Rainer. You never know who might stop by -- Reckless Kelly, Junior Brown, Ray Wylie Hubbard, Walt Wilkins, and Gary P. Nunn have all stopped by for a chat.
October 8-10, 2010
24th annual event. This Americana event benefiting local charities features the best in live Texas music and the best in Texas food and wines at Gruene Hall and The Grapevine. All three days will be filled with vintner and music events, wine & food samplings, and the Great Guitar Auction.
October 23-24, 2010
Sat., 10am-6pm. Sun., 10am-5pm. Gruene Historic District. Respected potters and sculptors from around Texas display, sell their wares, and demonstrate a variety of techniques. Hands-on activities are available for children.
October 30-31, 2010; March 5, 2011
Gruene Historic District. Participants enjoy a leisurely ride through the Texas Hill Country or competitive time trials with prizes for the best course records. Among famous past participants are seven-time Tour de France winner Lance Armstrong and five-time winner Eddie Merckx. A celebrity slow race and an antique & classic bicycle show round out the events. The weekend is sponsored by the San Antonio Bicycle Racing Club and benefits a local New Braunfels’ charity.
