5pm-6pm. Inks Lake State Park, 3630 Park Road 4 West. After a brief safety and basic fishing skill instruction, children will get a chance to go fishing with a Park Ranger and a Master Naturalist. This is a catch and release program that introduces fishing to our youngsters. A limited amount of fishing equipment (including poles and bait) is available to check out through the Tackle Loaner Program at the park, or bring your own. Adult supervision is highly recommended.

5pm-8pm. Artisans at Rocky Hill, 234 W. Main St. The art of husband and wife, Rick Hewitt and Linda Rauch of Spicewood. Join us for an opening reception 5pm-8pm during First Friday Art Walk Fredericksburg. Refreshments will be served. Linda enjoys painting boldly colored wildflowers in acrylic. She is also developing a new style she refers to as pop art with hard edges. Linda's paintings are noted as dream like with a modern impressionistic twist and most of her pieces come from her imagination. Rick creates with copper and fire and his sculptural pieces have adorned the courtyard at Artisans for over a year. Through torch work, acid burns and various techniques for copper toning, Rick brings tactile beauty pleasing to the eyes to Artisans and gallery guests. In addition, please join us on Saturday, October 2 for a special demonstration by both, 2pm-5pm. This fabulous show depicting bold color on canvas and copper sculpture will be on display and available for purchase through Saturday, October 16.
