6:30pm-8pm. LBJ State Park & Historic Site, 199 State Park Road 52. Come learn the outdoor sport of archery. This event is open to all youth ages seven and up. It is held every Thursday evening during the months of July and August. Equipment will be supplied.

11am. 400 Saint Francis St. Join in the fun with a BBQ chicken plate lunch, silent auction, give-aways and much more.

1:30pm-3:30pm. US Hwy. 290 East. Come join us in exploring the origins of space and flight. Children of all ages can make an old fashioned kite. Materials will be furnished. The lesson of recycling and using materials, which are free, will be stressed. Kites from home are welcomed also.

10am-3pm. Lyndon B. Johnson State Park & Historic Site, Park Road 52. Bring a picnic lunch and learn how to grow fresh vegetables for enjoyment in the summer and fall. Join notable growers to learn the fundamentals of raising a productive vegetable garden. This hands-on experience will teach you various growing techniques used to produce bountiful vegetables in limited or large areas. Visit the Sauer-Beckmann Farm and see what's growing there and how they use their vegetables throughout the year. Accessible for the mobility and visually impaired.
