Bastrop Convention Center, 1408 Chestnut St. Largest Green Expo between Dallas, Houston, San Antonio, and Austin is coming to Bastrop. More than 50 speakers, panels, and demonstrations. Presentations by city managers and mayors of Bastrop, Elgin and Smithville of their newly developed “sustainability” programs. John Ikerd from Missouri is the keynote speaker, followed by talk show host Howard Garrett (“The Dirt Doctor”) from Dallas.

10am-4pm. 700 E. Adams St. Museum will present a special interpretive program at 11am. A tour of the caboose, plus the Lehnis Heart of Texas Model Railroad Club will be working on the new permanent model railroad layout and will be available for questions.
