This class is a relaxed and inviting experience for parents and young children (age 1-5) to enjoy nature together (no more than three children per adult please). Starts at Spring Lake. The Safari is a long, tough, non-stop, marathon canoe racing adventure which traverses 260 miles of challenging rivers and bays. Although the rate varies from year to year depending on water conditions, in previous Safaris as few as two teams out of 60 starters managed to reach the finish line. Many participants enter the Safari with no intention of winning, but with aspirations of joining the elite group of finishers and earning the coveted Texas Water Safari patch.

10am-3pm. 199 State Park Road 52. Come celebrate our nation's birthday as a German farm family and their friends would have done in the early 1900's. Take part in activities such as horseshoe and washer pitching, stick-horse races, watermelon seed spitting and other games. The farm will be open as usual, with interpreters in period clothing carrying out day-to-day farm activities. This event is free, with donation gladly accepted.

All showings are set for Saturday nights at 9pm with a rain date on the next (Sunday) night. The public can drive onto the LBJ Ranch beginning at 7:30pm.
