The beautiful Blanco State Park is transformed as the Blanco Classic Car Show bringing immaculately restored vehicles to the grassy banks of the Blanco River. As many as 200 restored cars and trucks are on view, including antique pre-1949 vehicles through 1959 and up, “muscle cars,” “Vettes,” Mustangs, modified/custom Chevys, original/restored trucks, pre-1958, 1959 and up British vehicles, MG’s, Triumphs, foreign cars, street rods, and special interest vehicles. Uptown Blanco Art Center, 317 Main St. Exhibit of Blanco County Student artwork. Students worked many hours after school with art teacher Diane Hudson preparing for competitions on the local and state levels; and their hard work, talent and perseverance paid off. Exhibit includes Region 13 (Johnson City) Medalists and State Finalist Medalists. Region 13 students competed against 25,000 other Texas High School artists and won the highest level of awards given.

Citizen Science survey techniques used to conduct this census can be used wherever birds breed. Data collected will be provided to the Cornell Lab of Ornithology through eBird, Cornell's online bird database. Bring binoculars and a field guide and meet at the CNC Pavilion.

Cart rentals are available and should be made directly with the golf course prior to the tournament date. Brady's Municipal Airport at Curtis Field, 377 North. Presented by Morgan Military Aviation Museum. B-25 Yellow Rose will be present during the festivities. Rides on the plane are available for $395, a large portion of which is tax deductible. Cockpit tours and an oral history of the plane. Representatives from the United States Army will be on hand displaying the Apache and Huey helicopters. Also, PT-19, the plane that flew during World War II at Curtis Field, will be on display as well. BBQ dinner and dance.

Program honors Meusebach and his contemporaries’ interests in raising grapes and wine production in the region. This program links past and present interests in the grape and the vision of its role in the future of the Texas Hill Country. Throughout the day, Dr. James Kearney, Lonnie Childs, Dr. Ed Hellman, Bill Lindemann, Penny Adams, and Bill Blackmon will share their insights on how 19th century, settlers documented the native flora and shared horticultural information to help lay the foundation for today’s vibrant viticulture in the Texas Hill Country.

Hunt, at the forks of the Guadalupe River in the Texas Hill Country, became a town in 1912. The Hunt community will celebrate 100 years of history. Hunt is known for its scenic vistas, summer camps and the clean and sparkling river. The Centennial Celebration will feature programs, exhibitions, demonstrations, and activities throughout the day. The celebration will begin with the opening ceremonies and a parade through historic downtown Hunt. Food and music will be available throughout the day at the nearby Hunt restaurants. In the evening, the celebration will continue at Crider's Rodeo & Dance Hall with a real, live Texas Bar-B-Q, Rodeo and Dance. This is going to be a great family outing.

Margie Crisp, artist and writer, has studied the Texas Colorado River from its beginning at the edge of the High Plains to the Gulf. Over fifty hand colored linocuts, lithographs, silkscreen prints and photographs by the author illustrate the changing character of the river and its diverse inhabitants. The book entertains, informs, and educates readers about the natural beauty of the existing river, its transformative power, the multitude of ways the river is used, and potential threats to the river's existence.

He is a fighter and has battled through months of Chemo, surgeries, and painful treatments with two more years of treatment ahead. Family friendly run/walk with kids activities and games and prize drawings for all participants. Top three in each category also receive a prize.
