6pm-8:30pm. Uptown Blanco Art Center, 317 Main St. In this class you will become familiar with making unique, one of a kind prints using water based, non-toxic monotype inks and printing paper. No experience is necessary. Colors, textures, compositions and technique instruction will prepare you for hands on printing. You will walk away with four to six monoprints per session. The last day will focus on framing and presentation. The rest is up to your imagination!

1403 Angelo St. Presented by Old Alsatian Steakhouse & Ristorante with International Culinary School at the Art Institute of San Antonio. 1st and 3rd Thursdays. Offering the school's outstanding students a chance to be guest chefs at The Old Alsatian two nights a month and offering our valued customers a new culinary treat. Guest chef program will only be available for the dinner menu.
7pm-9pm. The Barber Shop, 207 Mercer St. A benefit for PAWS Shelter & Humane Society. Sarah Pierce LIVE on Stage! Door Prizes, PAWS t-shirts, mmmpanadas. Specially brewed cask by Barber Shop brewmeister John McIntosh tapped at the event. Plus book signing by Cathy Rosenthal, author of "The Lucky Tale of Two Dogs."
1281 Gruene Rd. This Americana event benefiting local charities features the best in live Texas music and the best in Texas food and wines at Gruene Hall and The Grapevine. All four days will be filled with vintner and music events, wine & food samplings, and the Great Guitar Auction.

Kerr Arts And Cultural Center, 228 Earl Garrett. Sept. 6-Oct. 3: Photoquest 2012, photography competition featuring members of the Hill Country Camera Club - Avery Gallery. Sept. 6-Oct. 7: Quilts and Other Art Forms - Cornels Gallery. Visions 10, acrylic and watercolor paintings by 10 renowned local artists - Derby Gallery. Public reception for all exhibitions: Sept. 8, 1pm-3pm.
Kerr Arts and Cultural Center, 228 Earl Garrett. Open to any artist working in any medium who uses the "Plein Air" technique. Event will also feature demonstrations by well-known Plein Air artists, daily receptions, "quick draw" contests, awards, and an opportunity to exhibit their work (subject to jurying) for almost a month as part of KACC's Plein Air show.

6:30pm-9pm. Linda's Fine Foods, 500 FM 2325. Paula Held, an Austin-based songwriter performs, and showcases a variety of local and Austin-based musicians during the break. Local musicians frequently drop by to sit in.
Fri. & Sat., 8pm. Sun. 2:30pm. Wimberley Playhouse, 450 Old Kyle Rd. Based on the delightful fairy tale The Princess and the Pea, this musical comedy adaptation first opened in London in 1960 and later became a TV movie.
