Uptown Blanco Ballroom, 317 Main St. 2nd Annual. Celebrating Lady Bird's 100th Birthday. Opening reception on Friday, October 12, 5pm-6:30pm. The special quilt exhibition showcases the vast wealth of quilts created in Blanco County and throughout the Texas Hill Country.
1300 Bulverde Rd. S.T.A.G.E., Inc. presents a comedy by Burton Bumbarner, directed by Julia Cammack. Howard Weems, a successful romance author, suffers from a bad case of writer’s block, compounded by interruptions from a host of zany visitors.
6pm-7pm. Inks Lake State Park, 3630 Park Road 4 West. After a brief safety and basic fishing skill instruction, children will get a chance to go fishing with a Park Ranger and a Master Naturalist. This is a catch and release program that introduces fishing to our youngsters. A limited amount of fishing equipment (including poles and bait) is available to check out through the Tackle Loaner Program at the park, or bring your own. Adult supervision is highly recommended.
33rd annual event. Fri. 5pm-10pm, Sat. 11am-9pm. Sponsored by Cowboys for Jesus Christian Fellowship, 8 miles from Wimberley at 8400 FM 32. Rain or shine. Shaded picnic area, clean indoor restrooms, concession stands. Groups & individuals from across the country perform Southern Gospel, Country & Bluegrass. See website for schedule.
Fri noon-6pm. Sat 10am-6pm. Sun 10am-4pm. Marktplatz. 19th annual. Over 60 talented mesquite wood artisans come to Fredericksburg to showcase their handcrafted mesquite products. Featuring the world’s largest selection of original mesquite art, sculpture, furniture, turnings, architectural accents, gift items, ornaments and more.
4pm-7pm. Gruene Hall, 1281 Gruene Rd. A Gruene Hall tradition. Enjoy happy hour, prize giveaways, and the best in Texas tunes, broadcasted live by KNBT 92.1 FM Radio New Braunfels with Mattson Rainer. You never know who might stop by -- Reckless Kelly, Junior Brown, Ray Wylie Hubbard, Walt Wilkins, and Gary P. Nunn have all stopped by for a chat.
10am-6pm. Homestead, 100 N Elm. Vendors from Fort Worth, Waco, Fredricksburg, Granbury, Stephenville, Houston, and East Texas will be under a 5400 sqft tent. Homestead will feature a local nursery selling flowers, plants and accessories. Two chefs will also be making crepes, sandwiches, soups and salads.
Blanco County Fairgrounds. Proceeds to benefit the Cherokee Home for Children. Poker Run, bike show, free camping, BBQ on Saturday, bands Friday and Saturday night and more.

$25 per person, 6 and under free. Under 21 must be accompanied by an adult.
5pm. County Line Polo Arena, 2324 FM 150 East. Every Friday and Sunday afternoon, enjoy the equestrian sport of kings. 1st lesson on wooden demo horse (Woody) free. Lessons for Interscholastic High School, Collegiate and Private Adult Membership Available. Watch polo scrimmages free after the lessons.

Friday & Saturday nights, 8pm-10pm. Presented by The EmilyAnn Theatre, 1101 FM 2325. Featuring some of the finest local and Austin classical actors, this show is sure to be a wonderful Halloween treat for everyone. Set in the mobster 1920s, the smoky, flapper atmosphere will entice all audiences, no matter how familiar with Shakespeare. The production features award-winning actors Aaron Alexander as Macbeth and Bridget Farias as Lady Macbeth. The show is directed by Jeff Hinkle, award-winning director from City Theatre, Austin.
