4pm. The Art Garage, 11190 Circle Dr. Get in the spirit of the Halloween holiday. We'll show you some great techniques to create the perfect black and orange tie-dye.

Vaaler Creek Golf Club. Hosted by Good Shepherd Catholic Church Men's Club. Scholarship gives two seniors $500 each. Also funds St. Ferdinand's Acts Retreat and needed maintenance at Good Shepherd Catholic Church.

$75/person. Includes cart, balls, green fees, breakfast and BBQ luncheon with awards.
Fri 5pm-9pm. Sat Noon-5pm. Sun Noon-5pm. The Cana Ballroom of St. Peter's, 202 W. Kronkosky St. Features forty highly talented and sought after artists. Activities surrounding the show include a paint-out for all artists, a quick draw for artists who are part of the show, and a breakfast with the artists.

2pm. Main Plaza. 20th annual car show for the Volkswagen owners of San Antonio. Scenic drive to Comfort. Afterwards they'll cruise back to Boerne to hang out with the classic cars at Soda Pop's on Main St. The show and the swap meet will be on Sunday, Oct 21, in Main Plaza with games, music, food and lots of fun.
10am-5pm. 512 River Rd. A Culinary Experience Without Borders. Events include breaking the record for the longest Shish Ka Bob in the USA, Bake-A-Cake Contest, International Chef Day, performance by the Boerne VIllage Band, Fastest Kolache Eating Contest, and much more.
Saturday 10am-8pm; Sunday 10am-4pm. Premier art event on the greenbelt in Historic Downtown Buda. Features juried artists from across Texas exhibiting fine art for sale in such media as: oils, pastels, pottery, glass, mixed media, photography, sculpture, acrylics, and fine jewelry.
1300 Bulverde Rd. S.T.A.G.E., Inc. presents a comedy by Burton Bumbarner, directed by Julia Cammack. Howard Weems, a successful romance author, suffers from a bad case of writer’s block, compounded by interruptions from a host of zany visitors.
Comfort Village Fall Antique Show in Comfort Park. Sat. 10am-5pm. Sun. 10am-4pm. Country, southwestern, American oak, depression glass, stoneware, baskets, textiles and, as expected, American everywhere!

Comfort is filled with clever autumn scarecrow creations. Scarecrows mimic nursery rhymes, characters of all types. Winners have signs posted in front of their businesses or in yards of residences. Scarecrow Invasion kicks off Oct. 15, 10am-2pm, in the Downtown Historic District. Music, live scarecrows, face painting, photo ops, pumpkins, cornstalks, and more!

Junction City Park. The Fredericksburg Fly Fishers invite you to join us along the South Llano River in Junction this fall. Oktoberfisch is a fly fishing festival for those who delight in Texas fly fishing while leisurely enjoying one of the crowning jewels of Texas rivers. Fly fishing in the Texas Hill Country is a pleasure that many native fly fishers yearn for during those dog days of summer.
Thunderhill Raceway, 24801 IH-35. The 2011 Kyle Fair & Music Festival is a fun-filled family event held the 3rd weekend in October. BBQ cook-off, live music, carnival, arts & crafts, 1K/5K run, bike ride. Check website for schedule.
8:30am. Wallace Middle School, 1500 W. Center St. This 5K certified track is chip-timed and all participants receive a t-shirt. There will also be a 26 mile bicycle race starting at 8:15am, and a kids 1K that starts at 9:30am.
Badu Park. Everyone wanting to explore the wonders of an historic downtown and county courthouse are welcome for the festivities of the Llano Heritage Days Festival on the square. The main event is the public meal served straight from the wagons at high noon on Saturday.

Friday & Saturday nights, 8pm-10pm. Presented by The EmilyAnn Theatre, 1101 FM 2325. Featuring some of the finest local and Austin classical actors, this show is sure to be a wonderful Halloween treat for everyone. Set in the mobster 1920s, the smoky, flapper atmosphere will entice all audiences, no matter how familiar with Shakespeare. The production features award-winning actors Aaron Alexander as Macbeth and Bridget Farias as Lady Macbeth. The show is directed by Jeff Hinkle, award-winning director from City Theatre, Austin.
