10:45am, The Art Garage, 11190 Circle Drive Suite 202. We will read The Popcorn Book by Tomie DePaola, and another storybook about popcorn. There will be other fun popcorn games and then we will paint cool snack bowls to put our popcorn in.
50th annual. BBQ, exhibits, entertainment, Texas sized auction. Doors open at 3pm Friday; serving begins at 5:30pm; auction begins at 7:30pm. Mansfield Park. Sponsored by the Bandera County Chamber of Commerce.
Buggy Barn Museum, 19151 N. Highway 281. Ticket gets the 11th annual Knife and Tomahawk World Championship Contest, entrance to the Buggy Barn Museum, carriage rides, kids corral, exhibits at Carriage Hills Ranch, variety of chuck wagons, silent auctions, food vendors, entertainment of Jack Dagger, Dan Mink, One Sharp Marriage, Musical Entertainment of: Jean Prescott and K.R. Wood. Chuck wagon cook off on Saturday with a full meal that can be purchased for $10/plate. Dance Saturday night with an entrance fee of $10/person.

7pm. Cascade Caverns, 226 Cascade Caverns Road. Every month Cascade Caverns hosts an extended nighttime tour using only flashlights in the Cave. The one-and-a-half-hour tour includes a Cascade Caverns LED flashlight and hot dogs (meat and veggie) beforehand.
6pm-7pm. Inks Lake State Park, 3630 Park Road 4 West. After a brief safety and basic fishing skill instruction, children will get a chance to go fishing with a Park Ranger and a Master Naturalist. This is a catch and release program that introduces fishing to our youngsters. A limited amount of fishing equipment (including poles and bait) is available to check out through the Tackle Loaner Program at the park, or bring your own. Adult supervision is highly recommended.

120 Landa St. Ten day salute to sausage ... a unique celebration rich in German culture and full of Texas fun. Since 1961, families have come from near and far to sample tasty sausage, strudel, pretzels, potato pancakes and other German/Texas treats served up by fun-loving folks. Others come to polka and waltz to good ol' oompah music performed by more than 40 different groups. More come to visit with friendly Texans dressed in lederhosen and dirndls as a tribute to the community's reich German heritage. Everyone comes to have fun at Wurstfest!
