Noon. Vaaler Creek Golf Club, 228 Jeff Vaughn. Sponsored by The Wimberley VFW membership and Bo Davis, cowboy rodeo producer. Scramble format with numerous events including: longest drive; shortest drive; worst drive; closest to the pins on par 3s; and a putting contest. BBQ dinner after the golf tournament and maybe a surprise “Nashville” Christian Country artist to entertain us on the beautiful deck overlooking the pond at Vaaler Creek.

6pm-7pm. Inks Lake State Park, 3630 Park Road 4 West. After a brief safety and basic fishing skill instruction, children will get a chance to go fishing with a Park Ranger and a Master Naturalist. This is a catch and release program that introduces fishing to our youngsters. A limited amount of fishing equipment (including poles and bait) is available to check out through the Tackle Loaner Program at the park, or bring your own. Adult supervision is highly recommended.

120 Landa St. Ten day salute to sausage ... a unique celebration rich in German culture and full of Texas fun. Since 1961, families have come from near and far to sample tasty sausage, strudel, pretzels, potato pancakes and other German/Texas treats served up by fun-loving folks. Others come to polka and waltz to good ol' oompah music performed by more than 40 different groups. More come to visit with friendly Texans dressed in lederhosen and dirndls as a tribute to the community's reich German heritage. Everyone comes to have fun at Wurstfest!
