5:30pm-9pm. The program begins with an overview of space using Stellarium, a real-time, computer generated view of the heavens. After this sneak peek at what will be shining, you will step outside to ameteur astronomers waiting to guide you through the night sky, each of their telescopes trained on a different star, planet, or galaxy. The program will go on rain or shine. Please bring a flashlight and dress for the weather. We have red covers to put over the flashlights to preserve night vision.

Led by a master naturalist, you will learn about the history of Blanco State Park, as well as how to identify local plants and wildlife along the trail. Bring a bottle of water and the whole family; all ages are welcome.
Take a stroll through the path of lights and Christmas scenery in Bindseil Park, 300 Pecan St., as you go through Christmas in Blanco's Trail of Lights.

Old Blanco County Courthouse, 300 Main St. Join in Christmas caroling on the Courthouse steps at 5:30pm. Annual town lighting at 6pm. Visit Santa and Mrs. Claus in the Old Blanco County Courthouse, shop local merchants on the Historic Square while enjoying refreshments and listening to Christmas music in various shops. Visit Blanco Pioneer Museum for an old-fashioned Christmas setting and drawing for a Christmas wreath. Buggy rides will be available.

7pm. Cascade Caverns, 226 Cascade Caverns Road. Every month Cascade Caverns hosts an extended nighttime tour using only flashlights in the Cave. The one-and-a-half-hour tour includes a Cascade Caverns LED flashlight and hot dogs (meat and veggie) beforehand.
1pm. Boerne High School, 1 Greyhound Lane. The Fall Concert will be held in conjunction with the Boerne High School Band Turkey Dinner and will feature big band music. The event will be held outdoors with the option of using the auditorium for inclement weather.
4pm-8pm. Carriage House Gallery of Artists, 110 Rosewood. Meet our monthly featured artist and the other artists of the Carriage House while enjoying hors d’eouvres, wine and refreshment, and great one of a kind fine art.
5pm-10pm. Downtown Boerne. Delight in the snow every hour, music, theater groups, artisans, horse-drawn carriages (a small fee applies), & of course, Santa Claus outside the Little Nature Store.

6pm-7pm. Inks Lake State Park, 3630 Park Road 4 West. After a brief safety and basic fishing skill instruction, children will get a chance to go fishing with a Park Ranger and a Master Naturalist. This is a catch and release program that introduces fishing to our youngsters. A limited amount of fishing equipment (including poles and bait) is available to check out through the Tackle Loaner Program at the park, or bring your own. Adult supervision is highly recommended.
10am-6pm. Galloway Hammond Recreation Center, 1601 S. Water. Christmas shop with the hand picked vendors. Market shoppers will enjoy a wide array of interesting vendors from all over the hill country. Enjoy Christmas music. Lunch and refreshments will be available for purchase.

Old Fashioned Christmas Snow Queen & Ice Princesses will serve as enthusiastic ambassadors for both Old Fashioned Christmas and the Castroville Area Chamber of Commerce. The contestants will be evaluated on appearance, poise, personality, intelligence, public speaking ability, current and future goals, and involvement in community affairs/extracurricular activities.

Historic District streets are filled with arts & crafts booths, live music, entertainment and a visit from Santa and his elves for photos. Comfort’s antique and specialty shops are decorated for the holidays and filled with treasurers for gift giving. The wonderfully festive day is topped off with the Lighted Night Parade that travels through High Street in the Historic District.

It's Christmas Eve 1943 and the Feddington Players are on the air. Join them live as they present their annual Christmas program. Step back in time, once again, to the golden age of radio as this show sings its way into your heart. Songs include A Coconut Christmas, That Cute Little Elf, and swing arrangements of many holiday standards.

23nd annual. The official lighting of the Blanco County Courthouse will begin with Santa's arrival at 6:30pm. After the lighting, the Chuck Wagon Food Court will be open next to the Johnson City Bank. Live band music will continue throughout the evening festivities. Free hayrides, sponsored by Antique Tractor Club, will operate until 10pm. Carriage rides available. Johnson City Garden Club will offer Christmas ornaments and crafts in the courthouse lobby. The Blanco County Courthouse, in Johnson City, glows with 100,000+ lights for a full month of holiday splendor. Also featured are a one million light display at the PEC headquarters on Avenue F, Christmas in the Park and light displays throughout the community.

Children can visit with Santa at breakfast on Saturday morning (reservations required) or have their picture taken with him any time during the market.

120 Landa St. Ten day salute to sausage ... a unique celebration rich in German culture and full of Texas fun. Since 1961, families have come from near and far to sample tasty sausage, strudel, pretzels, potato pancakes and other German/Texas treats served up by fun-loving folks. Others come to polka and waltz to good ol' oompah music performed by more than 40 different groups. More come to visit with friendly Texans dressed in lederhosen and dirndls as a tribute to the community's reich German heritage. Everyone comes to have fun at Wurstfest!

Vendors from across central Texas provide a shopping experience filled with antiques and collectibles, furniture, home decor, arts and crafts, jewelry, tools, produce, and much more. Make plans to visit historic San Saba.
6:30pm. Come to beautiful Seguin and watch a spectacular evening parade with floats decorated with holiday lights, and see the town square all decked out for the holidays.
5pm-9pm. Downtown Seguin. More than 20 chocolatiers providing homemade cocoa to shoppers when you buy a mug designed by a local artist. Holiday activities and entertainment in a decked-out town include snow in Central Park, train and carriage rides, ornament-making for kids, North Pole Post Office and Santa! Holiday music and entertainment and a beautiful live nativity.
