6:30pm. Silver Sage Corral, 803 Buck Creek Dr. Come to jam, dance, or just listen to the music! Bring a dish for the pot luck and help yourself to a plate. Held monthly, January through October.
6pm-7pm. Inks Lake State Park, 3630 Park Road 4 West. After a brief safety and basic fishing skill instruction, children will get a chance to go fishing with a Park Ranger and a Master Naturalist. This is a catch and release program that introduces fishing to our youngsters. A limited amount of fishing equipment (including poles and bait) is available to check out through the Tackle Loaner Program at the park, or bring your own. Adult supervision is highly recommended.
4pm-7pm. Gruene Hall, 1281 Gruene Rd. A Gruene Hall tradition. Enjoy happy hour, prize giveaways, and the best in Texas tunes, broadcasted live by KNBT 92.1 FM Radio New Braunfels with Mattson Rainer. You never know who might stop by -- Reckless Kelly, Junior Brown, Ray Wylie Hubbard, Walt Wilkins, and Gary P. Nunn have all stopped by for a chat.
“The Ranch That Was Us” - Paintings & Illustrations from Becky Crouch Patterson’s book about the history of ranching in Kerr County, Texas. “Fresh” - New art by Doug Garey, Phyllis Garey, Diane Henry, Debbie Luce Minns, Lanza Teague.
8pm Weekly rodeo at the BR Lighting Ranch, 818 FM 1283, featuring bull riding, steer riding, calf roping, barrel racing, mutton busting, and more, plus high-diving aqua mules.
5pm-8:30pm. VFW Post 8800, 7755 FM 2673. Wed. Fiesta Night. Drinks, karaoke, shuffleboard. Bingo every Thur. Kitchen opens at 6pm, cards go on sale at 6:30pm. Burger night every Fri. Smoke-free.
