Fredericksburg is Going to the Birds
This spring Fredericksburg celebrates natural flight by hosting its first annual Wings Over The Hills nature festival at Lady Bird Johnson Municipal Park.
Scheduled Friday, April 29, through Sunday, May 1, the event salutes the varied and unique winged creatures of the Texas Hill Country – birds, butterflies, dragonflies and bats – with guided tours, lectures, photography class, exhibits, and more.

Rockets 2011 Event to Host 50 Schools Launching 70 Rockets
Seventy rockets built by students from 50 Texas high schools will roar into the skies over the Texas Hill Country for Rockets 2011, Thurs-Sunday, May 5-8, 2011.
This is the fifth year for the event, which is the culminating activity of the acclaimed SystemsGo Aeroscience program developed over 10 years by Brett Williams, technology teacher at Fredericksburg High School.
