Elizabeth Marie Cain Bary

1928-2016

Elizabeth Marie Cain Bary passed away peacefully on April 16, 2016 in Marble Falls, Texas.

Born May 14, 1928 to Ammie J. McGeHee Cain and William Tell Cain in Liberty, Mississippi. Elizabeth was preceded in death by her loving husband Bobby J. Bary, Sr., two sisters, Leila Mae Harrison and Mozelle Willis and one brother, William (Mac) Cain.
She is survived by her three children, daughter Victoria Ann Bary Wash (husband Stephen) of Horseshoe Bay, son Michael Ray Bary (wife Sharon) and son Bobby Jules Bary, Jr. (wife Jackie), and also by her sister JoAnn Cain Botts (husband Bob). She is survived as well by seven grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
Elizabeth was a long time resident of Bossier City, Louisiana, graduating from Bossier High School in 1945. She was a loving, caring wife, sister and mother.
A graveside service was held on Wednesday, April 20, 2016 at 11:00 am at Hill Crest Memorial Park, Haughton, Louisiana.

 

Shirley Ann Hanson

Shirley Ann Hanson (nei Leyk) of Horseshoe Bay, Texas, passed away at her home, on Sunday, March 6, 2016. She was pre-deceased by her husband of 64 years, LeRoy M. Hanson. Her surviving family members include sons Dale and Steve, daughters Linda, Laura, Nancy and June; as well as numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Shirley was born on November 20, 1930 to Margaret and Adam Leyk, in St. Paul, Minnesota. Shirley and husband Roy retired to Horseshoe Bay over 20 years ago. Her family surrounded her as she joined the Lord and her husband. Shirley was an accomplished homemaker and much beloved of her children and will be sorely missed.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, March 12, 2016 at 11:00 am at The Church of Horseshoe Bay.
In lieu of flowers, the family prefers donations to The Church of Horseshoe Bay, Roy and Shirley’s loving faith community.
The Hanson family would like to express their gratitude to all who walked with Shirley in her life’s journey.

Mona Lee Martin McRae

1926-2016

Mona Lee Martin McRae, 89, passed away on Thursday, February 18, 2016.
Memorial services were held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, February 24, 2016 at Northpark Presbyterian Church, 9555 North Central Expressway, Dallas.
Mona Lee Martin was born April 11, 1926 and grew up in south Louisiana, the daughter of Allen W. and Mona E. Martin. Mona was very proud of her paternal grandfather, Dr. John Greene Martin, who helped found St. Patrick Hospital during an active professional life in Lake Charles. He was a man of dedication and vision that inspired her throughout her life.
Mona was lucky in love when she married Asa Duncan McRae in 1949. She was mother to Stuart Duncan McRae, who has been a devoted son to his parents for the last 15 years that they lived in Dallas. A. D. preceded her in death in 2007.
Mona spent much of her life making and appreciating art. Inspired by different artists and movements, she created many drawings, paintings and sculptures. She found inspiration in nature and her surroundings. An active and curious artist, she enjoyed participating in art shows and exhibitions.
Asa’s lifelong career was with Mobil Oil taking them to many places including Lake Charles, Midland, and New Orleans. They enjoyed their retirement years in Horseshoe Bay and Dallas.
Mona is survived by Stuart Duncan McRae, her surrogate daughter, Christine K. Miller, her companion in art and life, and first cousins Verna Grice and Helen Garman of Austin.

Lenora Sapp

Beulah Lenora Edmonds Sapp was born 1923 in Stella, Missouri. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband William Erskin Sapp, her brother Bill Bible and Son-In-Law Thomas Schroeder. She is survived by son Steven Erskin Sapp of Vacaville, California, her daughters Carla Schroeder of El Dorado Hills, California, Linda Speetzen and son-in-law Bob Speetzen of Horseshoe Bay, Texas and her brother Jim Bible of Vacaville, California. She is also survived by six Grandchildren, Mike Speetzen of Wazata, Minnesota, Greg Speetzen of Horseshoe Bay, Texas, Sheri Schroeder, and Stephanie Schroeder Esparza of El Dorado Hills, California, Brett and Aaron Sapp of Vacaville, California. Also nine great-grandchildren, Troy and Dominic Esparza, Taylor, Katelynn, Maddison and Elaina Speetzen, Cabella, Nonie and Paisley Sapp and many other relatives and friends.
Lenora and Erskin raised their three children in Delhi, California where they owned and operated a service station. After retiring, they began their RV life and enjoyed traveling across the US. Erskin passed away in 1996 in their favorite little town, Shell Knob, Missouri. Lenora came to live with Linda and Bob Speetzen in Texas in 2002. For the past few years she has lived at Granite Mesa in Marble Falls and Windchime At The Village in Kingsland, Texas, where her very favorite things in life were the visits from family, friends and especially children. Children could always put a big smile on her face.
Lenora's family will have a reunion and memorial service in Shell Knob, Missouri.
We love you and will miss you Grandma, Duh Duh, Beulah Babe, Grandma Nora, Aunt Nor, Mom! We were blessed to have you and Dad for the years we did.
